What is Zen Pets?

Zen Pets is a premium hemp oil supplement for our four legged friends. Similar to our Populum tinctures, Zen Pets uses all natural & honest ingredients. It’s formulation is a blend of pure hemp oil, hemp seed oil, and coconut oil – a flavor that your pets will love.

Since our pets are lighter and smaller than us, Zen Pets offers the benefits of hemp oil without as strong of a concentration as the regular tinctures. The supplement still has the optimal level of chemical compounds found in the hemp plant, and still offers a full-spectrum + full terpene profile.

How is Zen Pets different from the regular hemp oil tincture?

We’ve designed and formulated Zen Pets to be more suitable for our dogs & cats while also being more cost-effective. As our pets are typically smaller than humans, Zen Pets offers a lower concentration of hemp extract compared to our Premium Tinctures. We’ve also substituted the orange flavor with coconut oil.

Can I give my pets the regular CBD oil?

Our Zen Pets dosage is designed for animals that weigh significantly less than humans, but we know there are some large dogs out there that are pretty heavy - even some that can outweigh us!

Scientifically, dogs (and most mammals) have a similar anatomy to humans. Studies in the last decade have shown that the endocannabinoid system can be found in most mammals. 

We advise that you speak to your vet before trying out a higher dosage on your pets.

What is the difference between hemp oil and hemp seed oil?

Hemp seed oil is derived from hemp seeds - like the ones you put in your smoothies - and they're mainly used for dietary purposes. Think something similar to coconut oil. Refined hemp seed oil might also be found in beauty products, as it has been found to have emollient properties.  

Hemp oil, what CBD oil is made from, is extracted from the buds of the hemp plant and has nothing to do with the seeds. The hemp buds are the part of the plant that contains the different cannabinoids that affect the human body.
